天敌成虫是小型蛾类，不是赤眼蜂，也不是蜡蝉成虫。资料也使用另一个属名，辨认时要核对同物异名。
The adult is a small moth, distinct from egg wasps and Pyrilla. Some sources use Fulgoraecia; check synonyms when matching records.
生活史与过程
LIFE CYCLE AND PROCESS
雌蛾可在羽化茧的附近产卵，幼虫孵出后寻找寄主。不要把它说成在蜡蝉体内产卵的寄生蜂。幼虫附着在蜡蝉若虫或成虫外部，取食寄主体液。幼虫体表可覆盖白色蜡质，观察时要同时看清寄主。长成的幼虫离开寄主，在叶面结白茧并在里面化蛹。蛹羽化为蛾；这是天敌的生活史，蜡蝉本身没有蛹期。
Females lay near the cocoon; hatchlings search for hosts. Do not confuse this with a wasp laying inside a planthopper. Larvae attach externally to Pyrilla nymphs or adults and feed. White wax may cover the larva; examine the host beneath it. Mature larvae leave the host and pupate in white leaf cocoons. Pupae become moths; Pyrilla itself has no pupal stage.

Conserve established natural enemies and avoid unnecessary broad-spectrum treatments. Use local guidance for augmentation; do not copy foreign release rates. Follow pest and parasitoid changes alongside new leaves and fresh injury. One parasitoid does not prove field-wide control; track sustained results.
